border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][heading]<strong>Regulation<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/heading][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agon non-profit organization organizes the 13<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> International Archaeological and Cultural Doc Fest\u2013 <\/span><b>AGON 2026.<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Festival screenings will take place at the Greek Film Archive in May 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>THE FESTIVAL<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The theme of the Festival embraces archaeology in its broadest sense: antiquity, the Middle Ages, folk arts and traditions, industrial archaeology, cultural heritage, the creation of new cultures through migration and multiculturalism from antiquity to the present day, the documentation of worlds that are inevitably disappearing \u2014 today becoming the archaeology of tomorrow.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Films of all kinds are accepted \u2014 documentaries, fiction, animation, research films, educational films, etc. \u2014 regardless of length, provided they were completed in 2022 or later.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>FILM SUBMISSION<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions are made electronically, either by completing the entry form available on the Festival website <\/span><b>(<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agonfestival.com\/\"><b>www.agonfestival.com<\/b><\/a><b>) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or via the FilmFreeway platform <\/span><b>(<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/AgonFestival\"><b>https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/AgonFestival<\/b><\/a><b>)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by December 30, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When completing the entry form, applicants will be asked to provide:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Synopsis for the catalogue (up to 150 words)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Full script (narration, dialogues) exactly as heard in the film, in the original language (for non-Greek films)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> English or French translation (for non-Greek films)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SRT subtitle file in English or French (mandatory for non-Greek films, optional for Greek ones)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 4 high-resolution stills from the film<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2 high-resolution photos of the director<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Short biography and filmography of the director<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Film trailer for promotional use (mp4 file or embed code)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Full contact details of the director, producer, and distributor<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2713<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Online screener link for the pre-selection process (preferably YouTube or Vimeo)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u27a2<\/span> <b>IMPORTANT:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No submission will be accepted unless accompanied by the complete set of materials listed above.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> By submitting the entry form, participants confirm that they hold all copyright and intellectual property rights to the film or are acting with the consent of the rights holder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Participants must also provide the contact information of all film contributors. This personal data (name, email, address, telephone) will be collected and stored by the Festival Secretariat for organizational purposes only. Participants bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted information and consent to the processing of their personal data for Festival use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>FILM SELECTION<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Films selected for AGON will be chosen by a Pre-selection Committee of experts.
