I was driven by the idea of a (re)birth. Coming into light. Universal, classical; the performer is a human being, but also an animal, a larva, there in the water, amniotic waters. The trembling belongs to the maternal pain and the newborn trauma.<\/p>\n

There is a growing. A path towards light; blind at the beginning, like the framing on corners. Then the womb, the life opens up with the movements of the \u201cdanza sensibile\u201d, starting to walk, run, rise, reflect himself. This reflection is not a narcissistic gaze (there is no mirror) but a glimpse on the fleeting human essence, like a sound wave. A natural passage before eventually entering the light, leaving the shadow apart.<\/p>\n

I have always being working on the topos of the double, the non\/self. But this open multiplicity is what we experienced in a space of free potentiality that Diohandi created for the 54th Venice Biennale. This video-piece is a tribute to her and to the Greeks in this difficult historical moment. A little truth, beyond reform.<\/p>\n
