The Nazca Lines in southern Peru are gigantic figures carved into the ground, representing mythical creatures, animals and geometrical patterns. The largest are over 200 meters in breadth. Scientists have long speculated about their meaning.<\/p>\n

This documentary incorporates the latest research to show how the patterns were most likely dug to appease the gods and beg them to send rain. The drawings document a change of climate that transformed a once flourishing land into a desert.<\/p>\n
