The documentary \u201cThe Olive Tree and Olive Oil of Cyprus\u201d completes a wine-bread-oil trilogy.<\/p>\n

The geographer Strabo gave Cyprus the appellation \u201cevelaios\u201d or \u201cof good oil\u201d with the mush in demand Cypriot olive-oil also being described by Synesious as \u201clight and eupeptic\u201d.<\/p>\n

The long road from the cultivation of the olive-tree to the production of olive-oil, whether light or dark, is also the course followed by this film. It also makes use of what are possibly the last opportunities to immortalize scenes encompassing some of the protagonists of Cyprus rural life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
