The film follows the red-clay potters in all the stages of their work, and considers the economic and social conditions which were responsible for the growth of this cottage industry. Two years of filming and extensive interviewing were needed to record the labours and creations of the few remaining traditional potters. While the film was being processed, we acknowledged the loss of four of our elderly contributors.<\/p>\n
