\nThis documentary presents various hidden aspects of the history of Knossos from antiquity to the present while also trying to explain the nature of archaeological interpretation.
\nThrough the example of the unknown first excavator and also through that of the controversial Arthur Evans, the workings of history and the subjectivity of the historian are discussed. The film tries to explain our relationship with the past and whether we can perceive it objectively. Is the pas for each and every one of us a personal labyrinth in which we try to find some sort of thread of meaning for our lives?
