{"id":3972,"date":"2015-11-18T12:25:23","date_gmt":"2015-11-18T12:25:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agon.archaiologia.gr\/?p=3972"},"modified":"2021-11-08T16:33:21","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T14:33:21","slug":"on-the-way-to-the-selection-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agonfestival.com\/en\/2015\/11\/18\/on-the-way-to-the-selection-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Extended Deadline for Submission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The non-profit association <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">AGON<\/span><\/strong>, with the support of the greek archaeological portal<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">archaeology &amp; arts<\/span><\/strong> (www.archaiologia.gr), is organising the <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">10th International Meeting of Archaeological Film of the Mediterranean Area\u2026 and Beyond<\/span><\/strong>, which will take place in Athens, in May 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Are accepted all kind of archaeological films, documentaries, fiction, animation, reporting, educational etc. The subject is&nbsp;<strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Archaeology<\/span><\/strong> in its wider sense (i.e. Antiquity, Middle ages, or even Industrial archaeology), the <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Patrimony and the dying&nbsp;Popular Art<\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Traditions <\/span><\/strong>of the Mediterranean Area and Beyond. The&nbsp;films must be produced from January 1st,&nbsp;2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The selection of the submitted films that will be screened during the festival will be made by the Selection Committee of AGON&nbsp;which is comprised of: <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Depi Vrettou<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>(Cultural Program Coordinator, ERT), <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">George Mouzakitis<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;(Film Director-Producer), <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Zeta Xekalaki<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;(Archaeologist-Editor in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archaiologia.gr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">archaeology &amp; arts<\/span><\/strong><\/a>), <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Dr Evangelos Karamanes<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;(Director of the Hellenic Folklore Research Centre, Academy of Athens),&nbsp;<strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Yiannis Simiriotis<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;(Expert in new technologies) and <strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Maria Stassinopoulou<\/span><\/strong> (Author, Critic of literature).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The call for entries is launched and the <strong>extended&nbsp;deadline for submissions is December 20th, 2015<\/strong>.
