Rupestrian art is universal. The first works of art from the mankind can be found inside caves and prehistoric ruins and are considered to be as an excellent form of art.
\nThis documentary is a journey through this fascinating world, as well as a reminiscent of the career of Jean Clottes, the \u201cglobetrotter of the rupestrian art\u201d. We follow him inside one of the least accessible caves of the world, in the R\u00e9seau Clastres in Ari\u00e8ge (French Pyrenees), then in central Sub-Saharan Africa, in Dabous, where he discovers life-size giraffes carved in stone by Nigerian ancestors.
\nHe had a remarkable career during which he received one of the most important recognitions in 2007 in the middle of the nigerian desert: the world specialist of rupestrian art was baptised by the Touareg, very unusual for a westener.
