Voudeni is one of the most important settlements of the so called periphery of the Mycenaean world. It is also one of the very few Mycenaean sites in Achaia, where both the settlements and the cemetery have been found. Research has shown that the place was inhabited from 1500 to 1000 B.C.
Today, a long archaeological walk is created at Voudeni, which enables visitors to see a large part of both the cemetery and the settlement. The film, which is on show at the visitor’s centre, explains the site’s significance by placing it within the larger context of the Mycenaean civilisation.
By expoiting the advanges offered by 3D graphics and optical effects, the films combines creatively a rich variety of archival and photographic material, excavation records and live interviews.
