The film is about a research programme of a virtual and a physical replication of the Tablet of Idalion, kept in the Museum of Coins, Medals and Antiquities of the National Library of France.

This bronze, poor in tin, weighting 2.234 grams, it is very important for Cyprus for a variety of reasons: historical, archaeological and political.

In archaeology copies are never made using the same material as the original. This is considered counterfeiting. It is, therefore, such a “counterfeit procedure” that was adopted, but this was explicitly and unequivocally declared from the start. An agreement was signed between the National Library of France, the Technological Centre of the Metallurgical Industry, Ecole Centrale Paris and Kypros Local History Society. This agreement did not allow for more than a single attempt and for more than a single casting.
