A documentary dedicated to the life and work of Dimitris Pikionis made on the occasion of the exposition held at the Benaki Museum at the end of 2010. The surrounding area of the Acropolis and Filopapou Hill, the children’s garden at Filothei, the utopia of Exoni’s project, the primary school at Pefkakia, the apartment block on Heyden street are only a token of his work through which this great architect and intellectual has left his indelible mark in modern Greek architecture as a creator, a teacher and a philosopher. Always struggling for the unattainable, Pikionis, through his life and work, teached that “nothing exists on its own; everything is part of a total harmony. All things are interconnected, for they are all affected and changed by each other. We can apprehend one thing only through the intermediary of something else…”

The movie creates a dialogue between Pikionis and the narrators (analysts, old students, specialists) through a unique documentary (a speech in Nafplio) that his daughter Agni was able to rescue, but also through a 8mm amateur film preserved by his grand-son, D.I Pikionis.

Actress Lukia Mixalopoulou reads excerpts from Pikionis’ texts.
