Marble Memories was shot during the last two weeks of May of 2004. It covers the arrival and preparation of Hellenistic artifacts related to the Olympic Games. Hosted by The Museum of Cycladic Art, the exhibit called: Magna Grecia: Athletics and the Olympic Spirit” shines light on the details of a grandiose idea that extended through out the Mediterranean Sea. The gem of the collection is one of the most beautiful and rarely traveled sculpture, The Charioteer of Mozia.
The film attempts to perpetuate the legacy of these artifacts and ideas, complementing the marble memories with digital ones. This is the director’s first archeological documentary.
