The Erechteion, its form, its emblematic significance for Athens, its history. Concerning its history, the adventures it has been through time and the restoration work which has been carried out since the foundation of the modern greek state. The film focuses on the recent restoration work of Papanikolaou-Zamba: the technical means and the surrounding landscape change, while humanity keeps fighting against time.
The film is dedicated to the memory of Alekos Papanikolaou.
